Born in Milan, where he successfully graduated in organ, organ composition and harpsichord at the Conservatorio G. Verdi, Antonio Frigé began his career as recitalist, playing all over Europe and the USA for the most prestigious concert societies. He has a special interest in the literature of the 17th and 18th centuries performed on historical instruments, and has already recorded several CDs as a soloist or as a member of chamber ensembles. Since 1982 he has been performing in a duo with Gabriele Cassone, and in 1989 he founded the Ensemble "Pian & Forte". At the present time he teaches continuo-playing and chamber music at the "Civica Scuola di Musica" in Milan, and is the organist of the Basilica of San Simpliciano in the same city.
