More Animal Jazz (16 short pieces for piano)Volume 1

Barbara Snow was born in England, studied at the Royal Academy of Music, and has travelled worldwide, touring with bands. She has played in African, reggae and salsa bands; jazz and orchestral styles, and in between tours and recording has built up a teaching reputation with both piano and trumpet. Barbara has devised a way to teach piano to very young children, which has been described as “revolutionary”, and is in the process of producing various piano and trumpet pieces for publication. Barbara has her own Latin jazz band, “Que Barbara” for which she composes, arranges, and records the vocals, trumpet and flugel.
She has been commissioned to write various salsa pieces which have been out on general release and Barbara has now arranged them for the Vortex Foundation Big Band. She has written music for channel 4 television. Barbara has had two top forty Latin House hits.
In 2010, Barbara co-formed latin/jazz inspired Chico Chica, a group who compose their own original music. They have toured twice around the UK and performed in many concerts around London.

“This is the essence of great Latin music — Barbara’s singing, playing and compositions are all aspects of a truly original and accomplished artist – a genuinely fresh musical voice.”
