The Memorare is a prayer addressed to Our Lady of Consolation. Like a significant number of other Marianprayers, it evokes images of flight and basic human needs both for escape and protection, investing an archetypal figure with immense transcendental power.
The first performance of Memorare was given by the La Mer Trio — Renate Sokolovska (flute), Maja Wegrzynowska (viola) and Hannah Stone (Harp) — at the York Late Music Festival on Saturday, 3 May, 2014
